$200K Boost for CP Research
Cerebral Palsy Alliance’s research team has been recognised for its efforts to accelerate global collaboration and research into the prevention and cure of cerebral palsy with an award of $200,000 at the Macquarie 200/200 Opportunity Awards.
This money will allow us to fund a research officer to work closely with Professor Nadia Badawi (Macquarie Group Foundation Chair of Cerebral Palsy Alliance) on the strategic coordination of the IMPACT for CP (International Multidisciplinary Prevention and Cure Team for Cerebral Palsy) project – an initiative to further build and leverage global CP research, and foster research collaboration.
Cerebral Palsy Alliance was among 14 Australian non-profit organisations currently supported by the Macquarie Group Foundation to submit entries outlining the social impact their initiative or organisation has had on Australian society since the Macquarie Group Foundation first invested in it. Each organisation also provided a plan of how they could increase their impact with the assistance of Macquarie’s Opportunity Award.
